Form
Refined design with a sporty feel
The shell design creates a streamlined shape from the front to rear, while the ventilation fixtures give a sporty feel. The integrated rear spoiler and ribbed shapes on both sides of the shell also accent the design, creating a sophisticated look.
J-Cruise 3 aerodynamic features
Compared to our conventional models, the J-Cruise 3 reduces helmet lift (tendency to float upward) by approximately 5.5% and drag (downward force from the front) by approximately 4% under conditions equivalent to 100 km/h, providing noticeable improvements in aerodynamic performance. (Reference values measured using our in-house wind tunnel testing facilities)
Interior
Interior design that delivers the convenience and comfort of a jet helmet
The fabric used on the interior surface is a hybrid between highly moisture-absorbent, quick-drying material and soft raised fabric. Soft raised fabric is used in the opening of the helmet, which tends to rub against the skin when putting on or removing the helmet. Meanwhile, highly moisture-absorbent, quick-drying fabric is used in areas prone to sweating, such as the forehead.
Additionally, the undersides of the cheek pads, which are more prone to marking and wear from rain than other parts, have a durable synthetic leather surface.
The section of the center pad for the top of the head has a pocket design, allowing the fitting to be fine-tuned using an optional adjustment pad.
Shield/Visor
CJ-2 shield/visor
CJ-2 shield/visor system specifically optimized for jet helmets
This helmet features the CJ-2 shield/visor, which achieves a clear line of sight with minimum distortion thanks to changes to the thickness and curvature in specific areas. The design has been optimized for jet helmets, with ribs on the lower edge that prevent wind from entering from the bottom of the shield/visor. The ribs also increase rigidity of the shield/visor. This decreases bending when you open or close the shield/visor, making the action much smoother.
As with conventional models, the shield/visor has a slightly open position. This position can be used while riding at low speed to quickly defog and efficiently ventilate the inside of the helmet.
Shield/visor locking mechanism
The shield/visor locks automatically when fully closed, preventing accidental opening. It can be opened just as easily by pressing outward from the inside to release the lock.
Field of vision with anti-fog sheet
An anti-fog sheet is provided for the shield/visor as a standard accessory. The sheet ensures a clear field of view by cutting down on shield/visor fogging even in situations where it is likely to occur, such as when riding in rain or cold temperatures.

Inner sun visor with high optical functionality
The J-Cruise 3 features an inner sun visor that easily adapts to various visibility conditions. The sun visor can be lowered to reduce glare when riding in bright daytime light and instantly retracted using a lever to switch to a clear shield/visor when entering tunnels.
The QSV-2 sun visor offers optical performance that is on par with the European EN1836 standard for sunglasses, providing an almost distortion-free field of view. The sun visor can be moved using a sturdy wire, making for smooth operation.
The sun visor also has a stopper function and clicks when it is completely slid up into place using the lever. This helps to prevent the sun visor from accidentally sliding down due to vibration.
Ventilation
We have increased the number of outlet holes by one from our conventional models, giving a total of three. Testing at our wind tunnel facility also helped us identify an optimized part shape to enhance exhaust efficiency. This delivered a major improvement in performance of around 70%* compared to our conventional models under conditions equivalent to 100 km/h.

Ventilation performance that allows riders to stay comfortable and focused while riding
The J-Cruise 3 has undergone repeated tests at our own large-scale wind tunnel test facility to ensure it delivers outstanding ventilation performance. We have enhanced and optimized the efficiency of both the air intake for drawing airflow into the helmet and air outlet for expelling hot air from the inside.
New micro-ratchet-type chinstrap
Compact new micro-ratchet type chinstrap for improved fit
The micro-ratchet chinstrap can be fastened and released even while wearing thick gloves. Made of highly durable stainless steel, it locks with teeth in two places when fastened. We have kept this proven, extremely safe mechanism exactly the same but made its parts even smaller. The strap is woven from high performance fibers that offer exceptional strength and elasticity. This has allowed us to maintain its strength while making it even slimmer, helping to improve its feel within the helmet.
SHOEI COMLINK
Communications system specially designed to enhance compatibility with the helmet shape
The new attachment mechanism for the communication system is part of our SHOEI COMLINK concept. We have created its design exclusively for compatible helmets such as the J-Cruise 3.
The attachment section is more compact, improving the feeling of integration with the helmet design when the communication system is installed.
