∅ (Zero): A return to the origins of the WYVERN series

The WYVERN ∅ continues the spirit of the original series, recreating the same stylish profile with its sharp chin bar design and low contour shell. This new model is a unique addition to our NEO CLASSIC LINE of full face helmets.

Ventilation System

Functionality with the style of a classic

Air drawn in through the lower air intake is directed toward the inside of the shield/visor, forming a defogger ventilation system. This airflow effectively removes fogging on the shield/visor.
The three slits on either side of the chin bar not only evoke the design of the original WYVERN series but also function as lower air outlets to expel heat from the cheek pad areas. Heat trapped in these areas due to their snug fit is expelled through air channels inside the chin bar.
The upper air intakes and top air outlets were also extensively tested in our wind tunnel facility, leading to a design that embodies the WYVERN ∅ concept while also providing excellent ventilation.

Lower air intake shutter
To recreate the uniquely stylish front profile of the WYVERN series, the lower air intake is fitted with an internal shutter for opening and closing it. The shutter effectively improves functionality without compromising the design.

Shield/Visor System

The WYVERN ∅ inherits a traditional shell design while incorporating our latest technology to deliver contemporary riding comfort. This concept is enhanced by our choice of the CWR-F2 shield/visor for the helmet. By optimizing the curvature and thickness of the shield/visor at specific positions in order to improve the optical characteristics and minimize distortion, we have achieved an impressively clear field of view. The aggressive curvature of the shield/visor also accentuates the sharp lines of the WYVERN ∅, achieving a balance between our latest technology and design aesthetics.

Field of vision with anti-fog sheet
An anti-fog sheet is provided for the shield/visor as a standard accessory. The sheet ensures a clear field of view by cutting down on shield/visor fogging even in situations where it is likely to occur, such as when riding in rain or cold temperatures.

Shield/visor center locking system
By placing the locking system at the center of the shield/visor, we have reduced the amount of bending that occurs when opening and closing the shield/visor, while also making the locking mechanism easier to use. We have also improved the seal between the shield/visor and the window beading.

Shield/visor adjustment lever
The levers on the shield/visor base can be moved to independently adjust the seal of the shield/visor on the left and right sides in 1 mm increments.

Anti-fog sheet pin
The CWR-F2 shield/visor features a compactly designed base with pins for attaching an anti-fog sheet positioned at its rear edges. This allows the anti-fog sheet to cover almost the entire field of view, greatly improving peripheral visibility. An anti-fog sheet is provided as a standard accessory to prevent fogging on the shield/visor, a common issue in rainy or cold conditions, ensuring a consistently clear field of view.

Quiet Design

Reducing noise generation and increasing quietness inside the helmet improves a rider’s concentration while easing their fatigue. The vortex generators on the CWR-F2 shield/visor reduce wind noise by dampening the disruption of airflow along the side of the shield/visor, near the rider’s ears.

Vortex Generators
We optimized the shape of the vortex generators by using our own wind tunnel testing facilities to test different combinations of vortex generator shapes, quantities, and spacing.

Ear Space
Equipped with ear pads that keep noise out. We used a punching process for the ear pad plate. This prevents sound reverberations inside the helmet even when you’ve removed the ear pads.

Interior

The interior components deliver a soft and comfortable fit.
The WYVERN ∅ employs a hybrid combination of materials in its interior surface: a highly moisture-absorbent and quick-drying material for those areas where sweat accumulates easily, and a soft, raised fabric for those areas that may rub against the rider’s skin when putting on or taking off the helmet.
The newly designed cheek pads provide a voluminous and soft feel that conforms comfortably with the contours of the rider’s neck, while also preventing noise from entering the helmet.

Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.)

System for removing helmet in an emergency in the event of an accident
This system has been designed to make it possible for another person to be able to quickly do rescue work just in case the rider needs assistance. When a rider needs assistance, the situation calls both for speed and for caution when removing the helmet. The E.Q.R.S. provides a special ribbon on the cheek pads that can be pulled during a medical emergency to easily remove the cheek pads from the helmet. After pulling out the cheek pads that hold the rider’s cheeks in place, the helmet can be removed from the rider’s head with ease.
Note: Please do not use the E.Q.R.S. when removing cheek pads for maintenance.
